Hi, I'm Meg!

I'm a passionate adventurer who just finished up backpacking Central America with my English partner (whom I actually met in Vietnam which is a funny story for another time). I've traveled more than 30 countries, and lived in St. Louis (my hometown), Chicago, and Miami.

For now, we've landed in Vancouver with our best friend, the yellow Dudley lab Daisy, and I've made it my mission to explore like a tourist even though I'm living as a local! We don't know how long we will be here so we're soaking up every second. In my free time, I run, read, travel, cheer on the STL Cards (pain), and am a registered yoga teacher.

Spotlight on: Kitsilano

Kitsilano, known as "Kits" to locals, is one of Vancouver’s most beloved neighbourhoods for its perfect mix of beaches, shopping, and laid-back energy. West 4th Avenue is packed with cafés, indie boutiques, and wellness spots, while Kits Beach offers sandy shores and incredible views across English Bay. It’s an easy spot to spend an afternoon — grab a coffee from Their There or 49th Parallel, browse the shops, then walk the waterfront path all the way to Granville Island if you're feeling adventurous. Kits feels like the kind of place where every day is just a little bit sunnier. Plus it has a dog beach!

Spotlight on: Whistler

Whistler, Canada, tucked away in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, is a stunning part of the world no matter the season. In winter, it's a dream for skiers and snowboarders with epic terrain on Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. And when the snow melts, Whistler turns into an outdoor playground, with tons of hiking trails, mountain biking, and even golf. The village has a laid-back vibe with cobblestone streets, cozy cafés, boutique shops, and plenty of places to kick back after a day of adventure. Plus, after a long day on the slopes or trails, you’ve got a ton of spots to enjoy some après-ski, whether it’s a chill drink by the fire or some live music at one of the bars.

Spotlight on: Stanley Park

Stanley Park, Vancouver's iconic 1,000-acre urban oasis, offers visitors a lush escape with scenic views, diverse wildlife, and an array of activities like cycling, walking, and visiting landmarks such as the Seawall and Vancouver Aquarium. The park is larger than Vancouver's downtown area, with the city core covering about 1.5 square miles, while Stanley Park spans 3.3 square miles. It's a perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts, with trails, beaches, and picnic areas nestled among towering trees. Don't miss the famous Totem Poles and the stunning views of the North Shore mountains and the city skyline.
